During COVID 19 lock down, ICAR JSS Krishi Vigyan Kendra proposed advisory to farmers. The KVK is functioning with full staff strenght providing advisory to the farmers visit to agri clinic and providing agri inputs.

During COVID 19 lock down, Scientists visited to farmers field and gather the data about the market trends during the lock down period and providing the agri advisory.
Meetings attended
  • The Director, ICAR ATARI, Zone-IX, Bengaluru has conducted video conference of all KVKs of Karnataka and Kerala      on 13.04.2020 to discuss about Status of uploading KVK and activity details during the post COVID 19 lockdown.
  • Pre-Action Plan Meeting 2020 conducted by Director Extension, UAS, Bengaluru at VC Farm Mandya on      24.04.2020. KVK Chamarajanagar, Mandya and Mysuru were present their action plans.
  • Associate Director of Research, VC Farm, Mandya conducted ZREP video conference meeting on On 06.05.2020      for Zone 6. The Senior Scientist and Head and Scientist (Agronomy) were participated in the meeting.
  • The Executive Secretary, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysuru has conducted video conference on 07.05.2020 to gave      general instructions about COVID 19. His Holiness Chair the meeting
  • The Director, ICAR ATARI, Zone-IX, Bengaluru has conducted video conference of all KVKs of Karnataka and Kerala      on 08.05.2020 to discuss about Status of uploading KVK and activity details in KVK Portal, Best Practices during      COVID 19 Action Plan 2020-21 status and any urgent approval needed for early Kharif.
  • The Director, ICAR ATARI, Zone-IX, Bengaluru has conducted video conference of all KVKs of Karnataka and Kerala      on 15.05.2020 to discuss about action plan and Annual report 2019 in GKVK, Bengaluru.
  • The Director, ICAR ATARI, Zone-IX, Bengaluru has conducted video conference of all KVKs of Karnataka and Kerala      on 26.05.2020 to discuss about project proposal.
  • Attneing the Action plan 2020-21 and Annual Report 2019 worksho held at GKVK during 21-22 May 2020.
    • Preparation of Hand Sanitizer
    During COVID 19 lock down, Smt. Netravati Yettinamani, Scientist (Home Science) and Sri. J.G. Rajanna, Programme Assistant (Soil Science), prepared hand sanitizer, masks prepared from SHG have distributed to staff members and JSS sister institutions.
