Skill Development Programme on FOCT Friends of Coconut Tree (FOCT) skill development training programme has been conducted during 01-20 February 2020. Twenty participants were participated. In this programme participants learnt about coconut verities, nursery management, climbing of coconut tree using equipment, integrated crop management, integrated pest and disease management. In order to get the practical knowledge about the coconut nursery participants made visited to Lokasara Farm and Maddur Horticulture center of Excellence farms.

Terrace Gardening One day training programme has been conducted at ICAR JSS Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Suttur on 25.02.2020 on terrace gradening and organic kitchen gardening. Home Scientist explained about cultivation of vegetables by organic method, preparation of compost by using kitchen waste and terrace gardening.

Davanagere FPO members Farmers Producer Organization (FPO) farmers from Davanagere visited to KVK in 3 batches during 25-27 February 2020. Scientist (Agronomy, Seed Technology) and Farm Manager gave information about Mysuru district FPOs and their function, information of demo units and on-going projects in KVK. More than 120 farmers were visited to the KVK.

IFS training programme In collaboration with ATMA Proejct, Mandya IFS training programme has been conducted on 29.02.2020 at ICAR JSS KVK, Suttur. Scientist (Agronomy) gave information about integrated crop management in paddy, sugarcane and vegetables. Farmers made visit to Krishimela 1 acre model to get the practical experience about the integrated farming system concept.

Value addition & preparation of phenyl In collaboration with Prabhudan Rural Development Institute preparation of phenyl training programme has been arranged at Madapura, T. Narasipura taluk on 29.02.2020. Scientist (Home Science) demonstrated the preparation of phenyl and information about value addition. More than 25 farmwomen from various SHGs were attended the programme.
